ORAP hosts workshops related to research development and grant seeking. This spring semester, we will be hosting another Fundamentals of Grant Writing workshop as part of our community engaged research initiative. Other workshops are also in development and information will be posted here and in our newsletter as it is available.


Spring 2024

Grant Writing Fundamentals for Community Engaged Research

A four week course designed for faculty in all disciplines involved in community engaged research. The course consists of four 1.5 hour Zoom sessions, inclusive of a lecture, in-class discussion, take-home assignments, and in-class sharing and feedback on the take home assignments. Participants will be provided with planning and visioning tools, and copies of the lecture slides.

The course is limited to 15 faculty systemwide and will be offered February 28 – March 27, 2024. The application period for this upcoming course is closed.

Grant Proposals: Nuts & Bolts for Social Sciences Faculty

This training program will prepare faculty in the social sciences to advance their careers and research at WSU by providing understanding of each step of the proposal preparation process: from identifying the right funding opportunity to submitting the proposal.

This workshop series will take place over four sessions May 14 – May 23, 2024. Space in the course is limited, faculty in all tracks and at all campuses are invited to apply before the May 1, 2024 deadline.
