Research Initiatives

The Office of Research Advancement and Partnerships works with faculty to support the development of research in areas that will be key to keeping WSU on the cutting edge while always working to enhance the fulfillment of WSU’s land-grant mission. ORAP is currently supporting the following Research Initiatives:

• Artificial Intelligence: Coordinating existing expertise and growing new talent to meet the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Climate Change: Forging interdisciplinary approaches to understanding our changing climate on local and global scales and developing social and political interventions to reduce human-caused climate change and manage its impacts.
• Arts & Humanities: Showcasing scholarship and creative activity as essential facets of the WSU research program and strengthening institutional frameworks in support of the Arts & Humanities.
• INSPIRE! Community Engaged Research Program: Strengthening support for community engaged research and creative activity across all disciplines to enhance the societal benefits of WSU research in alignment with our Land Grant Mission.
