Faculty Training Programs
ORAP offers continuing education opportunities that help faculty navigate the research world.
Our mission is to help faculty create successful grant applications and research programs. The following opportunities take place every year to give faculty the resources needed to excel in their field of research.
Information Sessions
Each semester we offer 8-10, hour-long classes designed to assist you with all areas of research development. Topics include budget planning, broader impact opportunities, supplementary documents, research compliance, and more.
Each semester the schedule varies and is often updated a month prior to classes beginning. Sign up early as class space is limited. Read more.
Workshops
Preliminary data shows that attending ORAP’s grant writing courses significantly increases your award success rate. Join ORAP proposal consultants Dr. Sammy Rodriguez and Dr. Sofia D’Ambrosio to learn how to become a more effective grant proposal writer through hands-on, interactive activities designed to create desire for your project.
Faculty are given priority for these workshops. Post docs are admitted as space permits. Faculty interested in NSF CAREER proposals are highly encouraged to attend.
