Research development specialists support faculty by providing one-on-one consultations, proposal resources, targeted workshops and guidance throughout all stages of research. From the early stages of finding funding through helping with proposal development, facilitating collaborations, and helping with the submissions process, we are here for your success.
Community-Engaged Research
Community-Engaged Research (CER) is at the heart of WSU’s mission as a land-grant institution. The Office of Research supports community engaged research in a variety of ways including through the INSPIRE! community-engaged research initiative, which provides training to faculty and seed funding for CER. Our office has also compiled a set of guidelines to help researchers interested in adopting a CER approach to get a sense of some definitions and best practices.
Broader Impacts of Research Activities
In alignment with WSU’s land-grant mission, the Office of Research is committed to supporting the broader impacts of WSU research enterprise through consideration of all viewpoints, multiple knowledge types, and the differential experiences of the communities with whom we collaborate. Links are provided below to the Office of Research’s statement on Broader Impacts of Research and the WSU Mission and to resources compiled by the Office of Research for researchers as they consider the broader impacts of their research, scholarly, and creative activities.
