Continuing education opportunities at WSU to help you navigate the research world.
Our mission is to help faculty create successful grant applications and research programs. There are opportunities year-round for WSU faculty to gain the knowledge and resources needed to excel their field of research.
Information Sessions
Each semester we offer 8–10, hour-long classes designed to assist you with all areas of research development. Topics include budget planning, broader impact opportunities, supplementary documents, research compliance, and more. Each semester the schedule varies and is often updated a month prior to classes beginning. Sign up early as class space is limited.
New Faculty Information Series
This series offered in throughout the academic year is geared toward faculty new to WSU and will cover all of the essential topics for getting started with funded research, scholarship, and creative activity at WSU including resources available through the Office of Research.
Research Impact Challenge
This four part, self-guided series of exercises gives WSU researchers the opportunity to take advantage of tools and techniques to understand and effectively communicate the impact of their research. Topics covered include online scholarly profiles, social media, research metrics, and more.
Workshops
Research development and grant seeking workshops can help you to identify and successfully pursue funding opportunities. We typically host two multi-session research development workshops per year.
