Limited Opportunities


In Limited Submission opportunities, the sponsor restricts the number of applications or proposals an institution can submit. WSU initiates an internal screening process to determine which application(s) will be approved for submission to the sponsor. You must fill out application to apply for a limited submission opportunity.

Amount $60K funding with a one-to-one match. Matching funds can be provided by the university and/or other funders. You do not need matching funds lined up at this internal competition stage.

Amount Note: Anticipated Type of Award: Standard Grant or Continuing Grant
Estimated Number of Awards: 60 to 80
Anticipated Funding Amount: $70,000,000 to $95,000,000The program supports three types of projects. Awards for Institutional Capacity Building projects should not exceed $650,000. Awards for Design and Development Type 1 Single Institution projects should not exceed $1.0 million. Awards for Design and Development Type 2 Multi-Institutional Consortia projects should not exceed $5.0 million.
