Working with Native Communities – 4/2

April 2, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm PDT

Join us for a discussion of conducting ethical research with Native American individuals and communities. Topics will include the federal, state, and university policies that require researchers to acknowledge the sovereign status of federally recognized tribes. Other topics include the tribal protocols, cultural and legal, that shape how knowledge is shared by tribes and tribal members. An overview of “Indigenous Research Methodologies” will accompany this discussion.

This session will be in Lighty 280. Seating is limited, please RSVP. Skype is available.

Both Working with Native Communities sessions will share the same content.
