The Laboratory for Biotechnology and Bioanalysis (LBB) was founded nearly 35 years ago as a university-wide interdisciplinary research lab to enable access to state-of-the-art instrumentation resources for WSU investigators and to promote research at WSU. LBB has continually evolved into what is now a full-service genomics and molecular biology core lab with three full time staff members and over 25 years of research experience.

LBB has many services available and instrumentation applicable to the fields of molecular biology and genomics including three DNA sequencing platforms (Pacific Biosciences, Ion Torrent, ABI Sanger) and multiple qPCR instruments available (ABI-7500 fast, Takara/Wafergen). The lab is also very excited to be adding NanoString technologies to our list of services with the expected purchase of NanoString N-Counter and GeoMX spatial profiling instruments soon!
